We haven't seen a spider, any leaves or even grass come through since Roberto installed our pest shield. Thanks to the quality craftsmanship, I no longer have to tip toe around the garage in case there's a new spider (or family of spiders) sitting pretty in corners of our garage.
When we bought our home two years ago, we had a lot of pests in the garage. Our sticky traps (depending on the time of year) were covered in big wolf spiders, crickets, earwigs, June bugs, army worms and even a small lizard, despite us using indoor/outdoor pest spray in the garage. Roberto Hern is a highly respected pest control professional in our area and was recommended on our town’s Facebook page, so we gave him a call. He pointed out that the corners of our garage had big gaps - probably around an inch or so between the garage door and the wall - and this was where most of these pests were getting through. He installed the Garage Corner Pest Shields that he’d invented and I was surprised how quick and effective this solution was.
Previously, we could see daylight through the corner edges of the garage door, but these shields seal the gaps up and lay flat against the door. I’d estimate that it cut down on the number of bugs in the garage traps by about 70-80%. Installation took about 10-15 minutes, you just need a drill and some sealant for the edges. We paint matched them to the trim and you don’t even notice they’re there. We’re really pleased with this product and would buy it again.
